When a child is ill, parents and caregivers are reluctant to leave the hospital. The Ronald McDonald Family Room London ("Family Room") is an area set aside inside the Children’s Hospital, LHSC, to serve as a quiet rest area for family members of children in hospital for treatment and care.
The RM Family Room London replicates a home-like atmosphere directly inside the hospital where caregivers can take a break, have a snack, shower, or do a load of laundry without going far from their child's hospital room.

The Cart with a Heart is our Family Room on wheels. Every day the Cart with a Heart delivers into the pediatric inpatient units (NICU, PCCU, B6100 and B6200) to serve caregivers directly bedside.
We're open 7 days a week.
Items on the Cart with a Heart include hot beverages, bedside activities, some baby items, and some snacks. Some items on the Cart with a Heart are subject to donations received.
