Ronald McDonald House Charities® Southwestern Ontario How To Help

Baking Group Volunteering

At RMHC-SWO, the important nutritional needs we must consider on a daily basis include those of postpartum mothers, chemotherapy cravings, teenage eating disorders, and grab-and-go high-density nutrition that fits in a caregiver's pocket.

Our families require the energy and clarity to understand medical conversations and make informed bedside decisions when caring for their sick or injured children. They also need comfort foods that provide consolation or a feeling of well-being brought about by diverse needs and nostalgia.  Our Baking Group Volunteering program remains focused on giving sick children what they need most—their families at their best.

Let’s get started!

1) Gather a group of family, friends or colleagues ready to mix our ingredients with love.

2) Book your Baking Group Volunteering mission experience using our online calendar:

BOOK A BAKING GROUP

3) You will receive a confirmation email with all the details you need to know about your upcoming baking experience, including arrival time, what to wear, and more. (check your junk mail file).

Please note that baking ingredients are made available by our talented Nutrition & Wellness Team, who are steadfast in their focus on providing balanced nutrition that honors the cultural and dietary needs of our ever-changing guest population within our program sites.  If you have a specific item your group would like to submit for consideration and specific/unique requests, please send details to housekitchenlondon@rmhc-swo.ca a minimum of two weeks before your baking date.
